My retailer asked me to get an independent engineer's assessment of a recurring jack fault on my Bose QC Ultra headphones. I requested an estimate from Electronic Partners, writing: "I won't require a fix, just an assessment please." They quoted £49. Their booking form had no assessment option, so I booked a repair against that estimate. Instead of an assessment, they repaired the jack and invoiced £57.36, including £7.90 return postage not shown on the quote or estimate email. In writing, they confirmed my "initial estimate enquiry referenced that you were seeking an assessment", and that they "do not provide standalone independent fault reports", but said my instruction "does not override the structure of the service selected". Where a service isn't offered, they said, "the appropriate step would be to contact us directly prior to booking". They never contacted me before repairing. The repair removed the fault my retailer had asked me to evidence. They refused a refund four times. I sent a letter before action to PR House, Hortonwood 30, Telford, the address on their website and this listing. They acknowledged it had been "forwarded to us by the UK service centre", then said that centre "is an independent white-label logistics and processing partner only and is not the contracting entity". Legal notices, they said, must go to the contact details in their Terms & Conditions. I issued a small claim, served at the Telford address. Royal Mail returned the claim form undelivered. They filed no defence, so the court entered judgment in default for £92.36. The court's copy of the judgment came back "not known at this address". When I told them, they replied that "Electronic Partners has not received any County Court Judgment". I paid £96 for a court bailiff, who attended PR House. The court's notice says the bailiff "was told by the occupant that the debtor had left." The next day, I made a test booking on their website. The confirmation told me to send my device to Electronic Partners at PR House, Hortonwood 30, Telford. Replying to another review here, the owner account recently wrote that they've been "based on Hortonwood for well over a decade", with "a prominent Electronic Partners sign on the building" and "our engineers and reception team". The Register of Judgments shows seven County Court Judgments against Electronic Partners at PR House, Hortonwood 30, Telford, all recorded as unsatisfied. They total £4,410, date from March 2021 to June 2026, and the largest is £2,493. Mine is one of the seven. None are recorded as paid in full. This is how the company is set up. The business I paid is Electronic Partners LLC, registered in Wyoming, USA, at 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, an address used by hundreds of thousands of companies. I could find no UK company or overseas company registration for it at Companies House. Its Terms & Conditions say disputes are governed by Seychelles law and belong in the Seychelles courts, while saying UK statutory rights are unaffected. Its only named UK representative, in Liverpool, is appointed for data protection only, and its privacy policy says that representative "is not authorised to accept legal service, court proceedings, contractual notices, consumer disputes". There is no public email address. In my opinion, based on the facts above, Electronic Partners is set up in a way that puts it beyond the practical reach of UK customers and courts. Every quote above is word for word from their support tickets, website and Google replies, or from court documents, and I hold copies of all of them. I wouldn't send a device to this company.

Although the repair of the laptop seems to be satisfactory, it is a scandal that the customer should HAVE to pay for a warranty. Without this, no payment could be taken. This is ridiculous. The minute I selected a warranty, the site allowed me to pay for the repair.
