About the Business
I was born in Yorkshire and I still speak with an obvious Yorkshire accent. I was the first person in my school to study Computer Science. When the school was eventually given or bought its first computer the staff came to me to find out what to do with it! I have an "A" level and Honours degree in Computer Science and in the mid eighties moved to London and spent many years working as a software and system support engineer. Originally I was an employee but in the mid nineties became an independent consultant.
The broader understanding of how computers, their software and having fixed the most appallingly written software brings a considerable advantage when solving new computer problems. I will often seen something similar before or I can see how the present fault could have arisen. I have worked with many well known companies including Vodafone, National Grid and the BBC, a computer career fast approaching 30 years.
